Watch Mark Ingram put on an Alabama helmet and taunt Wisconsin fans at the Big Noon Kickoff set

Watch Mark Ingram put on an Alabama helmet and taunt Wisconsin fans at the Big Noon Kickoff set

In front of a highly partisan audience on a Big Ten-friendly network, Mark Ingram wasn’t afraid to show his Alabama team’s colors.

Ingram, who won the Heisman Trophy for the Crimson Tide in 2009 and is now a college football commentator for Fox Sports, wore a crimson houndstooth sport jacket and Alabama-themed Nike sneakers on the set of Big Noon Kickoff. After a friendly back-and-forth with Badger fans near the set, he pulled an Alabama helmet with the number 18 on the side from under the desk and waved it in the air.

“Do you know why there’s 18 on that helmet?” Ingram asked. “Because that’s the number of Natties (national championships) we’ve won.”

His colleague Matt Leinart then asked Ingram to put on his helmet, which he did.

One of the first segments of Big Noon Kickoff discussed all of the early season upsets, including Northern Illinois vs. Notre Dame and Georgia Tech vs. Florida State, and Ingram was confident the 16-point favorite Crimson Tide wouldn’t suffer a similar fate on Saturday against the Badgers.

“It won’t go like this,” he shouted to the crowd.

Alabama (2-0) and Wisconsin (2-0) begin at 11 a.m. Central Time on Fox.
