Jalandhar police bust Ankush’s ‘Bhaya’ gang, arrest lynchpin Sabharwal with links to organised crime figure Goldy Brar

Jalandhar Rural police on Saturday arrested seven members of the Ankush Bhaya organised crime gang, including the group’s key figure Ankush Sabharwal.

Punjab Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav announced the arrests through his official X-account.

According to Punjab Police, the operation revealed links between the gang and prominent US criminals Goldy Brar (accused of the murder of singer Sidhu Moosewala), Vikram Brar and Ravi Balachoria.

DGP Yadav said that the criminal module led by Sabharwal had planned attacks on rival criminal groups in Hoshiarpur. Mehatpurand Nakodar, which targeted various individuals. In addition, Lovepreet, also known as Laddi, an international criminal, was identified as the contact person of this gang, Punjab police said.

The investigation also revealed that a police officer was involved in passing on confidential information and providing logistical support to the criminals. During the raid, authorities seized four illegal pistols, seven live cartridges, 1,000 Alprazolam tablets and a luxury car.
