Karim Adeyemi puts in an impressive performance in the match against Heidenheim. His speed and precision lead BVB to victory.

Dortmund – Borussia Dortmund dominated 1. FC Heidenheim on Friday evening in a party full of high-speed football. Karim Adeyemi, Borussia’s winger, was an unstoppable force. He set up Donyell Malen’s first goal (12th minute). Shortly afterwards, Adeyemi himself increased the score with an impressive combination (17th minute). When the visitors scored a goal and Dortmund briefly faltered, it was again the 22-year-old who restored the two-goal lead with his weaker right foot (41st minute).

Adeyemi’s performance was outstanding

54 minutes into the game, a graphic displayed by DAZN underlined the international’s exceptional performance. 40 percent of attacks were initiated from his left side. Adeyemi, who was often – and rightly – criticized last year, now seems to understand what it takes to get to the top. During the international break, he accepted the challenge and joined Germany’s U21 team.

Adeyemi received the top marks from kicker twice. He scored both a brace and a hat trick for coach Antonio Di Salvo’s team. His BVB coach Nuri Şahin had already announced at the press conference before the game against Heidenheim: “I thought it was great how he performed there and what role he played there.” The goals are good for him. I don’t know if he needs any more self-confidence. He is more than welcome to score a hat trick for us too.”

BVB triumphs over Heidenheim

The Borussia winger quickly fulfilled his coach’s prediction, but after about an hour of play he decided to play a cross-pass to Serhou Guirassy. This did not change his overall excellent performance in the 78 minutes. Adeyemi also won five of his nine tackles and reached a top speed of 35.1 km/h. Although Dortmund were a little sweaty at the end, they deserved to win 4-2 overall.

It was Adeyemi who paved the way for goals five, six and seven and the provisional jump to first place. In any case, national coach Julian Nagelsmann will soon be visiting the Signal-Iduna-Park again. An Adeyemi in top form can strengthen any team.
