A major leak confirms that the second season of Freezing is in the works.

The fantasy anime “Freezing: After the Journey’s End” celebrated a huge success with the first season from September 2023 to March 2024.

The series still reigns supreme as the undisputed number 1 of the best-rated anime of all time on the MyAnimeList portal – so it’s no wonder that, as the final credits of the first season rolled, calls for a second season were also loud.

Officially, there was almost complete silence, with only one cryptic tweet remaining. A well-known and reliable leaker now claims to have found out more.

Freezing: Season 2 is already in the works

The leaker is the user “1223122sdsx”, who regularly hosts live broadcasts on the Chinese platform Bilibili where he talks about information about anime.

The channel itself is deleted again and again – especially when, as in the current case, translations of these leaks go viral. Accordingly, we support this article on the X/Twitter account “d0nut2x”, which was the first to publish such a translation.

The biggest news is likely to be the confirmation that the second season of Freezing: After the Journey Ends is already in the works. However, there is no indication of a release date, so we expect concrete dates in mid-2025 at the earliest.

Numerous other anime (sequels) are also mentioned in the leak:

  • Work on the new edition of the anime classic Ranma 1/2 is said to be almost complete, including the second season. In addition, “more than 20 other classics are in the works.”
  • Dragon Ball Daima, on the other hand, is simply described as “not finished yet”.
  • The leak also mentions new anime releases: The anime series starting in October Dandadan look “high quality”, while football fans should not have high hopes for the second season of Blue Lock.
  • Speaking of no hope: You shouldn’t expect an anime series for the game Genshin Impact in the short term. Instead, you can probably look forward to a second season of the comedy hit Bocchi the Rock soon.

What do you think of the list? Which anime are you particularly looking forward to? Let us know in the comments!
