Green Driving Day 2024 – DRIVING DAY

Green Driving Day 2024 – DRIVING DAY

How busy is your schedule in October? Take a quick look and keep October 19 free. It could be that we choose you as a test driver for the Green Driving Day at the ÖAMTC Driving Technology Center in Teesdorf. But first things first.

Ten BEVs, one PHEV on site

The Green Driving Day is our autumn reader driving day, which complements the Driving Day in spring. As the name suggests, only “alternative drives” are permitted on the test site. While natural gas vehicles and hydrogen cars were even present at the first driving events, the focus has now shifted to electric cars and hybrid variants.
A total of eleven vehicles will be available for testing in 2024, with the exception of one model with a plug-in hybrid (PHEV), all of which are fully electric, often referred to as BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) or just EV. Descriptions of these can be found here for you to click through, but just to get your mouth watering, in alphabetical order: Alfa Romeo Junior, Citroën ë-C4, Fiat 600e, Ford Explorer, Honda e:Ny1, Peugeot E-3008, Skoda Enyaq RS, Subaru Solterra, Toyota bZ4X, Toyota C-HR PHEV and Volkswagen ID. Buzz (longer wheelbase). This makes for a colorful mix that covers a wide variety of everyday needs: small city dwellers meet compact family vehicles, luxurious and high-powered models meet the barely weaker van for crew transport.

Who drives what?

It is therefore important when registering that the test vehicles are ranked (at least the top 3), as we ultimately want to allocate the cars appropriately. Each reader drives “their” vehicle at various stations of our cooperation partner ÖAMTC Fahrtechnik in Teesdorf, before the other vehicles can be tried out at the end of the day. Afterwards, it goes to the editors to record all the experiences on site and to guarantee successful follow-up reports.

Convince us!

Just driving is not enough, each participant is responsible for their test report. Noticeable motivation is important to us when registering: Why are you suitable as a test driver, what else fascinates you about the topic? Two years of driving experience and a valid class B driving license are required. Only invited people are allowed to attend in Teesdorf!
