A Jamestown man has been charged after police found unregistered weapons in his vehicle during a traffic stop.

Devan M. Huntington, 30, was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon (large capacity feeding device), third-degree criminal possession of a weapon (possession of three or more firearms) and criminal possession of a weapon after his vehicle was stopped at 12:13 a.m. Friday on Prather Avenue near Prospect Street by officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s canine unit for several suspected traffic violations.

During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that Huntington was allegedly in possession of two loaded pistols, one unloaded pistol, and a large capacity feeding device. The police report states that Huntington does not have a valid firearms license and is not permitted to possess the firearms.

Huntington was taken to the Jamestown City Jail until he could be brought to trial.
