Tobias’ surprising appearance on date with Annalena

Cologne – At “First Dates” Tobias (37) finally wants to fall in love again. But when he meets Annalena (34) on his date, he immediately puts his foot in it.

The 37-year-old wants a woman with dark hair who should also be “a bit nice”, especially to him. “I’m a stubborn, big-mouthed man,” Tobias explains straight away.

While Annalena sits down at the bar, Tobias bursts through the door with a loud “Enjoy your meal”. He briefly shakes the 34-year-old’s hand and then leans over the bar to order a drink. Roland Trettl (53), barman Nic Shanker (42) and Annalena are completely perplexed and laugh in surprise. But even when he realizes that the 34-year-old is his date, he prefers to stay standing and continue talking to Nic.

“I didn’t even know if that was the lady I had to go to. (…) As we village children do, I go to the bar first,” Tobias justifies the bizarre greeting.

Before dinner, heavy food is served at the table. Annalena’s husband died in a motorcycle accident and left behind her and their seven-year-old daughter.

Tobias also already has two children and has only been separated for six months. Annalena quickly realises that her date is still struggling with the recent break-up. When she proudly talks about her hobby, horse riding, Tobias lets out a loud cry: “Your predecessor, my wife, was also crazy about horses,” Tobias reports annoyed.

His ex-wife preferred to be with her horse rather than at home with him. At the end of the evening, Tobias wanted a second date, but to his great surprise, Annalena beamed with gratitude.
