Microsoft Edge 128.0.2739.79 fixes 4 security vulnerabilities

Yesterday evening, Microsoft updated Edge in the stable channel to version 128.0.2739.79. This update also corrected four of the five security vulnerabilities that had already been corrected in Google Chrome.

The difference, as always, is that Edge does not include Chrome services. In addition, two corrections have been made.

  • Fixed an issue that caused shortcuts pinned to the taskbar to be duplicated.
  • Fixed a browser crash that occurred when attempting to launch a custom protocol from a web page when using the URLAllowlist policy on a managed device.

Interestingly, Microsoft also added two security vulnerabilities for Edge 128.0.2739.54 and 128.0.2739.63 to the Security Update Guide yesterday.
