What you should know about the PGA Tour’s fall schedule

The race for tour tickets for 2025 has begun.

The PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup Fall Series begins Thursday with the first of eight events, which serve primarily as an opportunity for those who did not finish in the top 70 in FedEx Cup points – and therefore did not qualify for the FedEx Cup Playoffs – to secure their status for the 2025 season.

Many of these events will likely see their star-studded lineups wane, but the next 11 weeks will see some big names appear on entry lists. For example, Sahith Theegala and Max Homa are competing in the renamed Procore Championship (formerly the Fortinet Championship) at the Silverado Resort in Napa, California.

The fall tournaments offer all the perks: a two-year PGA Tour exemption for victory (along with 500 FedEx Cup points), plus winners gain entry to the 2025 Sentry, the 2025 Players Championship and majors where spots are reserved for tour winners.

Last year’s top 70 will have status for 2025, and spots 71 through 125 will be determined over the course of these eight fall events. In addition, players who finished 51 through 70 will still be competing for spots in the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-am and the 2025 Genesis Invitational, both of which are premier events.

Those who finish in positions 126 to 150 have conditional status and can improve it in the PGA Tour Q School.

The eight tournaments of the FedEx Fall Series:

Dates tournament
12-15 September Procore Championship
3-6 October Sanderson Farms Championship
10-13 October Black Desert Championship
17-20 October Shriners Children Open
24-27 October Zozo Championship
7-10 November Global Technology Championship
14-17 November Butterfield Bermuda Championship
21-23 November The RSM classic

The Presidents Cup 2025 will take place from September 26 to 29.
