This street will be closed: plants instead of parking spaces

Velbert. On September 20, the people of Velbert will experience a special transformation: Park(ing) Day turns parking spaces into creative meeting areas.

The Velbert Technical Services are holding the Park(ing) Day in Velbert for the first time on Friday, September 20th between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Park(ing) Day is an international day of action that has usually taken place on the third Friday in September since 2005.
On this day, parking spaces in public streets will be temporarily repurposed and put to another use.

Next Friday, the section of Bahnhofstrasse between Kölverstrasse and Hofstrasse will be closed to through traffic and the parking areas will be used for information, seating, mobile greenery and activities by the nearby retail and catering establishments. There will also be activities by the music and art school and a street art event for children.

All citizens are invited to visit this redesigned urban space and take advantage of what it has to offer.
