Suspicious package being investigated in Milford

MILFORD, CT (WFSB) – A suspicious object forced Milford police to cordon off part of town Thursday morning.

According to police, they were on site in the area of ​​54 New Haven Ave.

Shipyard Lane is said to be closed.

The device was located behind a building.

They did not believe there was any danger to the public.

However, they said they had called the Connecticut State Police Bomb Disposal Squad to investigate and confirm the explosive device was safe.
