Kendall Jenner is now officially blonde, kicking off the fall season with a chic new shade of “golden blonde.” The Kardashian star showcased her dramatic transformation with a carousel of photos on Instagram captioned “blonded.” The model linked to hair artist Jenna Perry and stylist Jessica Gillin, who do haircuts and extensions at Perry’s eponymous Jenna Perry Hair Studio in Manhattan, on the post.

If that name sounds familiar, it’s because Perry and her salon are practically the high-end when it comes to celebrity hair color. The New York-based colorist’s clients include Emily Ratajkowski, for whom she created red hair, Bella Hadid, Camila Morrone, Kaia Gerber, Chloë Sevigny, Karlie Kloss, and many more.

Much like “EmRata’s” extreme metamorphosis, Kendall Jenner’s transformation from brunette and short hair to blonde and shoulder-length was no easy feat. According to Perry’s Instagram story, where she reshared Kendall Jenner’s post, the colorist even seemed to hint that she needed multiple sessions over several days: “What I’ve been doing for the past two days,” Perry captioned the post. She later reshared the model’s post with the hashtag #NYCBlonde.

While it’s a stark change for longtime brunette Kendall Jenner, the sleek new shade of “gold blonde” is right on trend. Chase Kusero, co-founder of IGK Hair Care, recently told GLAMOUR that golden and warm blonde tones are hitting salons this season.

It’s no surprise that expensive-looking blondes are on the rise this fall: “I love a beautiful, buttery blonde that has a healthy Old-Money-Look conveys,” says Kusero about the trendy look.
