Bhupinder Hooda is wealthier than Nayab Saini and Vinesh Phogat owns three luxury cars

Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Hooda is richer than his successors Manohar Lal Khattar and Nayab Singh Saini, owning nearly two kilograms of gold and 25 kilograms of silver. Hooda, who is contesting the Haryana Assembly elections from Gadi Sampla Kiloi constituency owns properties worth Rs 7.29 crore according to his election declaration.

The veteran Congress leader owns movable property worth around Rs 3.46 crore and owns a licensed firearm, a revolver and a pistol. However, neither Hooda nor his wife Asha Hooda own a car.

According to the affidavit, the annual income of Bhupinder Hooda and his wife doubled between 2019 and 2024. Asha Hooda owns 3,300 grams of gold and 10 kilograms of silver. She owns movable and immovable assets worth Rs 3.74 crore and Rs 11.99 crore respectively.

The former prime minister has Rs 452,000 in cash. His wife has Rs 370,000 in cash.

As far as agricultural land is concerned, the Congress leader owns 16,305 acres while his wife owns 4.84 acres. The Hooda couple also owns three shops. The Jat leader also owns 7,253 square metres of residential land. His wife owns 11,386.29 square metres of residential land.

There are eight criminal proceedings against Hooda, four cases are under investigation and four are pending in different courts.

VINESH PHOGAT DECLARE ASSETS WORTH 2 CRORE

The wrestler and politician Vinesh Phogatwho contested from Julana constituency as a Congress party candidate, has declared assets of Rs 2 crore. Phogat owns four vehicles – a Volvo XC60 worth Rs 35 lakh, a Hyundai Creta worth Rs 12 lakh, a Toyota Innova worth Rs 17 lakh and a TVS Jupiter two-wheeler worth Rs 40,220.

Phogat, who recently made headlines after she was disqualified in the final of the women’s 50 kg wrestling event at the Paris Olympics, owns 35 grams of gold worth Rs 224,500 and 50 grams of silver worth Rs 4,500.

She also has liabilities of Rs. 13,617,820,000 which she took as loan for purchasing a Toyota Innova. Her husband also bought a Mahindra Scorpio for Rs. 19,000,000 by taking a loan from HDFC Bank.

Meanwhile, former Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij, who filed his nomination for Ambala Cantonment, owns movable assets worth Rs 2,451,989 crore, including a Maruti Swift Dzire worth Rs 2,96,000 crore. His immovable assets are worth Rs 1,250,000 crore.
