Diesel and petrol prices at lowest level since 2021

The decline in fuel prices continues: The price of petrol has fallen to lowest level since the end of 2021 fallen, according to data from the ADAC.

The nationwide daily average for premium gasoline of the E10 variety was 1,643 euros per liter on Wednesday. Diesel had already undercut all previous daily average prices for 2024, 2023 and 2022 one day earlier.

The fuel is now at 1,546 euros per liter. Both E10 and diesel have fallen by a further 0.7 cents since Tuesday. The main drivers of the downward trend that has been ongoing for weeks are the recent drop in oil prices. (dpa)
