National coach Julian Nagelsmann was satisfied with his team’s performance. After the retirements of Toni Kroos, Thomas Müller, Manuel Neuer and Ilkay Gündogan, the German footballers have shown that the DFB team can perform in the future even without its former top performers. Against the Netherlands, Nagelsmann’s team will confirm the performance from the Hungary match.

The Nations League match on Tuesday evening will be refereed by Italian referee Davide Massa. In the still young 2024/25 season, the referee has so far refereed four games – one match in the Champions League qualifying round, two matches in Serie A and the semi-final of the Saudi Super Cup between Al-Taawoun and Al-Nassr.
