Roller coaster “Blue Fire” at Europa-Park gets stuck

Roller coaster “Blue Fire” at Europa-Park gets stuck

At Europa-Park in Rust, the Blue Fire roller coaster with passengers on board came to a stop tilted sideways. According to a spokesperson for the theme park, the train came to a halt on the first climb. According to the theme park, the ride has been put back into operation after the incident. Strong winds were not related to the incident.

No dangerous situation

“A train on the roller coaster was unable to overcome the first climb at around 1 p.m. due to insufficient energy at the start and came to a stop there,” said the spokesman. The train was able to be driven back as planned so that guests could leave the ride on the ground. “At no time did a dangerous situation arise. The safety and well-being of guests are always the top priority for Europa-Park.”

This is not the first incident with the roller coaster. In April, the Blue Fire failed to complete a curve and rolled back four times. A spokeswoman for the park spoke of a so-called rollback. At the time, technical reasons were identified. The roller coaster rolled back twice with passengers. After that, there were two attempts without passengers. The error was corrected.

Europa-Park in Rust near Freiburg is Germany’s largest amusement park.
