Scott Stapp stars in Ronald Reagan biopic – 107.1 The Boss

This weekend, Believe Fans can see frontman Scott Stapp on the big screen with the portrayal of a cult legend from New Jersey.

Stapp, who is currently on the “Summer of ’99” tour with Creed, will play Frank Sinatra in the film. Reagana biopic about the former president Ronald ReaganDennis Quaid will portray the late president in the film, which hits theaters this Friday (August 30).

In one scene, Stapp appears as Sinatra at the famous Hollywood nightclub Cocoanut Grove, at a time when Reagan was president of the Screen Actors Guild.

“Sinatra in performance mode was an exercise in restraint. He had this steely, stylish demeanor and his sheer presence commanded the room. I was excited to be part of the cast and blown away by the attention to detail, style and overall production on set,” Stapp said in a 2020 interview.

Creed has great affection for Ole Blue Eyes. Mark Tremonti released an album of Sinatra covers in 2022.

The cast includes Penelope Ann Miller as Nancy Reagan, Mena Suvari as Reagan’s first wife Jane Wyman, Kevin Dillon as Jack Warner and Jon Voight as a KGB agent who pursued Reagan for decades.
