How to get table reservations for Oktoberfest

This year, the Oktoberfest is in its 189th year. A few days before the start of the festival, there are still plenty of options when it comes to table reservations.

Munich – Only a few days left until the Wiesn 2024 starts. On Saturday (September 21st) the beer will be tapped again. Several million visitors are expected to attend the 198th Munich Oktoberfest. In addition to accommodation, many Wiesn-goers are also looking for the right location to celebrate at the Oktoberfest. Tables in various festival and beer tents are particularly popular. But can you still reserve tables so close to the start of the Wiesn? How much does it cost? And what should you bear in mind? – We’ll explain.

Table reservations are still possible shortly before the start of the Oktoberfest – prices are impressive

Tables in the festival tents are in high demand during the Oktoberfest. Therefore, it is generally best to make a reservation as far in advance as possible to have a good chance of getting a table. A little more than a week before the start of the 2024 Oktoberfest (as of September 11), table reservations are still possible in many festival tents. For example, visitors can still reserve tables for the crossbow shooting tent.

A table for ten people costs 564 euros for just over six hours. Twenty people pay a reservation fee of 1,128 euros for the same period. Other tents, such as the Paulaner Festzelt and Fischer Vroni, are also still accepting reservation requests. However, it is important to only book reservations directly through the organizer. The consumer advice center recently warned of a nasty scam by fraudulent websites for table reservations.

Oktoberfest 2024: Well-known Wiesn tents are already fully booked

Many other festival tents are already fully booked for the 2024 Oktoberfest. This includes well-known locations such as the Hofbräu festival tent and the Augustiner Festhalle. The latter announced online: “We have already fully allocated our seating quotas for evenings. You can also send requests for lunch reservations on days or Wednesdays between 11:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to [email protected]. Seating is subject to availability!” The Hofbräu festival tent advises visitors to keep an eye out for free slots on the reservation page.
