State senator who defected to GOP accused of forcing staffer to perform oral sex

State senator who defected to GOP accused of forcing staffer to perform oral sex

According to a lawsuit, an employee was injured so badly during oral sex with a state senator that he ended up in a wheelchair.

Chad Condit claims that California Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil had to push his wheelchair through a casino after he gave her oral sex in a cramped car seat. She continued to make sexual comments while pushing him through the casino, he claims.

Condit has now regained the use of his legs and is suing Alvarado-Gil for sexual harassment, retaliation and violation of California labor law.

Newsweek asked lawyers for Condit and Alvarado-Gil, as well as Alvarado-Gil’s office, for an email statement on Tuesday.

Condit, Alvarado-Gil’s chief of staff, alleges in the lawsuit that the senator created a hostile work environment rife with sexual discussions.

“Alvarado-Gil also talked to the plaintiff about other employees’ sex lives and showed him her phone, which showed the location of another employee. She commented that the employee was at a hotel and had slept with a guy,” the lawsuit states.

Condit claims Alvarado-Gil demanded oral sex from him to demonstrate his subordinate status. The lawsuit alleges that the last time he was required to give her oral sex was at a company retreat.

“On the last occasion that Plaintiff performed oral sex as requested by Alvarado-Gil, Plaintiff sustained a back injury while sitting in a car seat and having to twist and contort himself in the confined space of the car,” the lawsuit states. “Plaintiff later went to the doctor and learned that the injury was more serious and that Plaintiff had suffered three herniated disks in his back and a fractured hip.”

The lawsuit states that after Condit was released from the hospital, his wife drove him to an after-party for a company meeting at a casino.

“Alvarado-Gil took command and pushed the plaintiff in a wheelchair through the casino,” then Alvarado-Gil made a sexual remark, the lawsuit states.

“Alvarado-Gil appeared to enjoy her power and demanded this token of ‘loyalty’ on several occasions. There was no sexual intercourse. Rather, Alvarado-Gil viewed this demand as a benefit of her power and viewed Plaintiff as a tool to fulfill her constant demand by asking him if he would kiss him. Plaintiff was humiliated and felt empty and subordinate to his boss, a California state senator who had power over his career and livelihood,” the lawsuit states.

Alvarado-Gil’s lawyer Ognian Gavrilov denied Condit’s allegations.

In a statement to The New York PostGavrilov described Condit as a “disgruntled former employee” who was telling an “absurd story.”

He said Condit’s allegations were “false, financially motivated claims.”

Alvarado-Gil is known for switching from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party in August, stating that the Democrats’ left-wing ideology meant they were no longer comparable to the party she joined.
