Former Premier League player publishes picture of his professional contract, which is funded with Saudi money, and reveals incredible details

The former Premier League player shared a picture of his professional contract on X.

A former Premier League player leaked details of his contract with Manchester City 17 years ago.

Shaleum Logan worked his way up at City, where his brother Carlos was previously a trainee.

In 2007, he signed his first professional contract and years later, Logan posted information on social media.

Logan shared a picture of a letter from City secretary Bernard Halford confirming his new contract.

At the time, City was coached by Stuart Pearce and languished at the bottom of the Premier League table.

The document, dated 29 March 2007, stated that Logan would earn £450 per week between 1 July 2007 and 30 June 2008.

But he would also be entitled to a number of performance bonuses. If selected for the first team, he would receive £500 per game – and an additional £500 if he played on the pitch.

If left in the starting line-up, Logan would receive a whopping £1,000 per game.

These bonuses applied to competitions such as the Premier League and the FA Cup.

Logan made his City debut in a League Cup match against Bristol City and then played against Norwich City in the next round.

He made his Premier League debut in February 2009 in a 2-0 away defeat to Portsmouth, where he started at right-back and received a signing-on bonus of £1,000.

Logan shared his contract on X with the caption, “Proof that I’ve been getting this Saudi money since the beginning of the year,” along with a series of dollar signs and laughing emojis.

Logan made one more appearance for City after his three appearances and spent a period on loan in lower leagues before being released.

He later played for Brentford, Aberdeen, Hearts and Cove Rangers before retiring.

Today, the 36-year-old works as a rope access technician for bolt-setting tools.
