The Dallas Cowboys will face the New Orleans Saints in Week 2 of the 2024 NFL season.

In Mike Zimmer’s debut as defensive coordinator, the defense held the Browns to 17 points. The unit constantly harassed Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson, with DeMarvion Overshown, DeMarcus Lawrence, Eric Kendricks and Micah Parsons combining for six sacks. Trevon Diggs and Kendricks also intercepted a pass from Watson.

The Saints are led by quarterback Derek Carr and a dominant defense. They beat the Panthers 47-10, with Carr scoring three touchdowns. Cornerback Alontae Taylor was the best defensive player with three sacks.

Hours before the Browns game, quarterback Dak Prescott signed a massive four-year contract extension with the Cowboys worth $240 million, with $231 million guaranteed. His favorite target, Ceedee Lamb, also signed a four-year, $136 million deal this offseason. Prescott finished Week 1 with 179 yards and a touchdown, with 61 of those yards coming to Lamb.
