Ice hockey: Dresden Ice Lions want to be promoted with all their might

The positive trend in the second German ice hockey league (DEL2) continues after the economically successful last season. Not only is the league one of the leagues with the most spectators in Europe, the budget for the individual teams has also been increased significantly again – from 49.3 million euros in the 23/24 season to 57.6 million euros now. René Rudorisch, Managing Director of the DEL2, particularly highlights “the excellent work at the individual locations”, which “contributed significantly to the positive development” of the league.

Now, in the coming season, five teams eligible for promotion will be competing, who not only have the sporting prerequisites, but also meet the infrastructural standards to make the jump to the DEL. Among them is the Dresden Eislöwen.
