The roller coaster “Blue Fire” in Europa Park has come to a standstill.

Around midday, the Blue Fire rollercoaster gondola at Europa-Park, Rust, was unable to gain enough momentum to climb its first few inclines. A spokesperson explained that the ride was stopped due to power problems at takeoff. Fortunately, passengers were safely escorted to the station and were able to disembark. The spokesperson stressed that there was no danger at any time and that guest safety was always the highest priority.

The spokesperson went on to say that this was not the first incident at Blue Fire. In April, the roller coaster had difficulty following a curve, causing it to roll back four times. At the time, the problem was called a “rollback.” The cause was attributed to technical issues, with the rollback occurring twice with passengers and twice during test rides without. However, the problem was eventually fixed.

Europa-Park, located near Freiburg, is known as Germany’s largest theme park. The Blue Fire roller coaster, despite its popularity at Europa-Park, has once again encountered technical difficulties when a blue gondola had trouble negotiating a curve in April, causing it to reverse four times. In the current incident, the blue gondola had difficulty climbing its first climb due to power issues at takeoff.
