Where is ex-RAF terrorist Burkhard Garweg? Videos are now supposed to lead to his trail

“It is assumed that this video shows Burkhard Garweg,” said a statement from the makers of the ZDF format. The report was added to the program at short notice.

Since 2015, the Verden public prosecutor’s office has been investigating Daniela Klette (65), Ernst-Volker Staub and Garweg for attempted murder and attempted and completed aggravated robbery in several cases. They are said to have robbed armored cars and supermarkets in Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia in order to finance their lives underground.

Klette was arrested at the end of February this year in Berlin-Kreuzberg, where she was living under a false name.

“When they were arrested, weapons, fake passports, beards, gold, and cell phone and computer files were found,” says the announcement for the wanted persons program.

Among other things, it contains information about the planning of robberies, data about the three’s whereabouts and a video from an apartment. This material will be published in today’s ZDF program “Aktenzeichen XY… Ungelöst.”

The trio belonged to the so-called third generation of left-wing extremist Red Army Faction (RAF). In 1998, the RAF, which killed more than 30 people, declared itself disbanded.
