Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra leaked; first renders and weight details revealed

Scheduled to launch in January, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra has already garnered a lot of attention, even though it’s still a few months away. Recently, some leaked CAD-based renders gave us our first look at what the new device might look like. These early images are exciting, but come with some caveats, as noted by well-known leakster Ice Universe.

Ice Universe points out that while these renders give a general idea of ​​the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s design, they may not be entirely accurate. One of the biggest uncertainties is the design of the camera rings. The renders show a speculative design for these rings, as the exact details are not yet confirmed. While the placement of the cameras seems to be correct, the design around them is still uncertain.

There are also some minor errors in the renders, particularly with the bezel and metal frame. While these inaccuracies aren’t serious, they should be noticeable to anyone looking closely at these images. Fans and potential buyers should be aware that these renders are just first looks and not the final product.

In terms of specifications, rumors suggest that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will retain the camera configuration of its predecessor, including the main sensor as well as 3x telephoto and 5x telephoto lenses. The only major update is expected to be to the ultra-wide-angle camera, which will reportedly feature a new 50MP ISOCELL JN3 sensor for better performance and image quality.

The new flagship is also said to be lighter than its predecessor. At 219 grams, the S25 Ultra weighs less than the Galaxy S24 Ultra (232 g) and the iPhone 16 Pro Max (227 g). It is also said to be a bit slimmer with dimensions of 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2 mm, which should make it a bit more comfortable to handle.

Under the hood, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, which is set to be announced next month. This latest processor is expected to offer notable performance improvements and keep the S25 Ultra competitive in the high-end smartphone market. The phone will also come with a powerful 5,000mAh battery and support for 45W wired charging, promising longer battery life and fast charging.

While these early leaks give us a tantalizing preview of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, it’s best to remain patient and wait for official details to confirm the final design and features.
