Xbox Game Pass Standard: New tariff now available

Xbox Game Pass Standard: New tariff now available

Incl. price increase

Microsoft has increased the prices of its Xbox Game Passes and introduced the standard tariff for consoles. There are no more day-one releases.

It has been known for some time that Microsoft is making changes to the Game Pass. Now the US manufacturer has put its plans into action and launched the Xbox Game Pass Standard. This new tariff replaces the previous Xbox Game Pass for consoles. A particularly bitter pill to swallow: the new standard tier no longer offers immediate access to new games from Microsoft and other manufacturers (day-one releases).

Anyone who wants to continue to do without Starfield, Diablo 4 and the like will have to use Game Pass Ultimate. According to Microsoft, it could take up to 12 months or even longer for the latest games to reach the standard Game Pass. The Game Pass for PC is not affected by this, by the way. Here you can find the latest games, at least for now.

Of course, the change also has an impact on prices. The Game Pass Ultimate for PC and Xbox games now costs 17.99 euros instead of 14.99 euros. The Game Pass Standard for consoles costs 12.99 euros and the Game Pass Core costs 6.99 euros (previously 5.99 euros). The PC Game Pass costs 11.99 euros, previously it was 9.99 euros.
