Top matches have been decided, but what’s next?

Top matches have been decided, but what’s next?

We remember: On October 5, 1997, Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker faced each other in the first ever “Hell in a Cell” match. Since then, “Hell in a Cell” has become the most notorious cage fight in WWE programming – with now 50 editions and many legendary moments.

CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre: Hell in a Cell

As we have known since Monday: Even more than a quarter of a century after the HIAC premiere, there will be another Hell in a Cell match at “Bad Blood”. The rivalry between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre, which has been raging since the beginning of the year, will hopefully find its grand finale in the cage.

After the two men are tied 1-1 after victories and McIntyre has stuffed the stones from his beloved bracelet into Punk’s throat, only one type of match can decide this conflict.

And even more bad blood: Two more matches have been announced at WWE Raw: Finn Bálor vs. Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley vs. Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan.

Who else will WWE put on the card?

If the now proven 5-match format remains, there will only be two spots left on the card for the October PLE. And these may come from SmackDown. Our tip: Matches with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and one with WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax will also be added. But let’s wait and see…

“Bad Blood”, incidentally the fourth major event under this name (after 1997, 2003 and 2004), will take place on October 5, 2024 in the State Farm Arena in Atlanta (Georgia). Attention: The PLE has an earlier start time than usual and begins at midnight (in the night of Sunday, October 6) German time.

In Germany, “Bad Blood” will be broadcast live and exclusively on the WWE Network (subscription required). The broadcast begins at midnight on Sunday, October 6th. Afterwards, the event will of course also be available to watch on demand at any time.

The current line-up at a glance:
