Martin wins German championship title

Bernd Martin from Lörrach won the German men’s 75 tennis club championship with TV Espelkamp-Mittwald. At the final tournament, the world number two in his age group remained undefeated in the semi-finals (4:2 against TC Karlsdorf) and in the final triumph over hosts LTC Elmshorn (4:0). Against the Baden rival Karlsdorf, Martin contributed not only a singles victory but also a doubles victory with Spaniard Jairo Velasco Ramirez (world number one). The final against the Holstein team was already decided after the singles.
