Many of the AI ​​functions will initially not be available to users in the EU. Apple points to legal uncertainty caused by the Digital Rights Act (DMA), which sets rules for large platforms.

Of the earlier models, only the iPhone 15 Pro is powerful enough for “Apple Intelligence”. The starting price of the standard model of the iPhone 16 remains unchanged at 949 euros.

The new Apple Watch Series 10 will be available in silver, black and rose gold from September 20th. The computer watch will be noticeably thinner and have larger displays. An improved chip will make it more powerful.

A new feature for the Apple Watch is the ability to detect sleep apnea – a condition that can cause breathing to stop for a short time. To allow you to wear the watch for longer, 30 minutes of charging should refill the battery to 80 percent.

The new Apple Watch will also be able to detect water temperature and depth. Apple last enlarged the Watch’s display a few years ago. The starting price remains at 449 euros.

Also new: The AirPods 4 with better audio quality and optional noise cancellation. Starting price: 149 euros. The AirPods Pro, which can also be used as a hearing aid, are available for 279 euros – also in Germany by the end of this year.
