Walter Moers “Einhörnchen” started in second place

The forensic pathologist Michael Tsokos (his Instagram page), popular talk show guest, “With cold calculation” (Knaur; ET: 2 September), the second volume of his Sabine Yao series. It immediately won him over 1st place the fiction charts (paperback).

Yao, head of a special unit for “extreme crimes”, and her team are once again dealing with unusual deaths. Yao has to realise that far away from the visible structures of Berlin, there is an urban shadow society that hardly notices a glimpse behind the scenes. In him True crime thriller Michael Tsokos draws on numerous authentic cases. The first volume of the Yao series, “With cold precision”was published by Knaur in September 2023 and reached number 13 in our 2023 Fiction (PB) annual charts.

“Mit kalten Kalkül” is not the only title by Tsokos that is new in our charts. At number 13 in the non-fiction (paperback) category, it is “On the trail of death” (Droemer; ET: September 2), written by Tsokos together with Veit Etzold and Lothar Strüh. Here, exciting cases of the forensic pathologist are described.
