Adrian Newey begins a new chapter at the Formula 1 team Aston Martin Aramco

The F1 team of the future secures the sport’s most coveted signature, marking the start of a groundbreaking long-term partnership.

Adrian Newey has made a long-term commitment to the Formula 1 team Aston Martin Aramco. The celebrated British designer will work at the team’s headquarters in Silverstone from March 1, 2025, where he will take on a new role as Managing Technical Partner.

The appointment of Adrian Newey is another sign of Aston Martin Aramco’s ambitions in Formula 1. Adrian has an unparalleled track record, having led F1 teams to 25 Formula 1 world titles, establishing himself as the greatest technical mind in the history of the sport.

Ready for something new in Formula 1, Adrian sees Aston Martin Aramco as the ideal project to showcase his leadership skills and creativity. A private tour of the team’s brand new AMR Technology Campus in June – tangible proof of the team’s limitless ambition – proved to be a decisive factor in the decision-making process.

Adrian has a lot to deal with in his new role: a rewrite of the technical rules for 2026, the integration of Honda factory power units, advanced fuels from Aramco and the newest wind tunnel in the sport.
