Everyone is raving about “Wusiala”: Now Bayern fans are dreaming of a German magic duo

Against Hungary, Florian Wirtz and Jamal Musiala once again caused quite a stir in the opposing penalty area. Not only their DFB colleagues and national coach Julian Nagelsmann are delighted. Bayern fans are already dreaming of a shared future for the exceptional duo in Munich.

In the first game after the retirement of Toni Kroos, Thomas Müller, Manuel Neuer and Ilkay Gündogan, the two youngsters were at their best against Hungary and complemented each other excellently. It is therefore no wonder that many Bayern fans are of the opinion that the record champions should definitely bring Florian Wirtz to Munich next year.

“Wusiala” in flames: Musiala and Wirtz inspire the DFB team

The German national team showed its best side in its confident performance in the new Nations League season and deservedly beat Hungary 5-0. The hero of the evening was Jamal Musiala, who provided three assists and scored one himself.

But Florian Wirtz also proved his class, scoring the 3-0 goal himself after half-time and setting up Musiala for the 2-0 goal shortly before. Both of them combined to their heart’s content, set up the other and led the team to their biggest victory to date under national coach Julian Nagelsmann.

After the match, the two 21-year-olds, who have been known since the European Championships by the nickname “Wusiala”, were showered with praise. The national coach was amazed ZDF- interview : “ When both of them are excited and really give it their all, it’s difficult for the opponents, which is exceptionally good. These are two footballers – when they look for each other and find each other, it’s very, very good to watch.”

Teammate Niclas Füllkrug also enthused: “We are really happy to have them both in the team, it’s a gift.” After the final whistle, Pascal Groß described “Wusiala” as a “blessing for football in Germany.” The new captain Joshua Kimmich praised: “They are very decisive for us. They have already collected a few scorers.”

Bayern fans dream of German magic duo

It is already clear to many fans that this duo will shape world football in the coming years – unless something unforeseen happens. But Musiala and Wirtz could soon play for the same club in club football too. For many Bayern fans, that would certainly be a dream after Musiala and Wirtz’s recent joint DFB appearance. There are countless calls on social media for Max Eberl & Co. to lure Wirtz to Munich in the summer of 2025.

What’s interesting is that Bayern have declared Wirtz, whose contract with Bayer Leverkusen runs until 2027, to be their number one transfer target for next summer. Just a few weeks ago, honorary president Uli Hoeneß made it clear: “I see Florian Wirtz at FC Bayern in the future.”

Bayern would have to dig deep into their pockets for Wirtz and thereby set new standards in the Bundesliga. Various media reports claim that Leverkusen have announced a sum of 150 million euros for the 21-year-old.
