Apple announced the new Apple Watch 10 yesterday and brought various functions that were previously reserved for the Apple Watch Ultra to the “normal” Apple Watch. We are thinking of depth and temperature detection for activities in the water. The manufacturer also announced a new tide app.

watchOS 11 brings new tide app

To help you plan and enjoy your open-water activities while staying informed about changing conditions, watchOS 11 includes the new Tide app. You can get tide forecasts for coasts and surf spots around the globe for seven consecutive days, including information on high and low tide, high and low tide, tide height and direction, and sunrise and sunset, all displayed on a timeline.

You also have the option to view beaches near your location on a clear map. New difficulties show current information on the tides at your favorite spots or the nearest beaches at a glance. All in all, conditions for over 115,000 beaches and 5,000 surf spots worldwide are available with the corresponding information.
