Coincidence or pure intention? The trailer for Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s next Netflix documentary “Polo” was released shortly after Kate’s video.

Prince Harry, 39, and Duchess Meghan, 43, are once again causing a stir in Great Britain: The teaser for their new Netflix project was released just a few hours after the intimate video of Catherine, Princess of Wales, 42.

New advertisement for Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan

“Polo,” the new documentary series about the sport’s global elite, was promoted on Netflix’s social media on Monday, September 9, 2024. It is produced by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Archewell Productions. The announcement came just hours after Harry’s brother Prince William, 42, and his wife Kate posted an emotional video celebrating the end of the princess’s chemotherapy treatment.

Documentary series to be released in December

According to the Daily Mail, there is no indication that the Netflix announcement was planned in connection with Kate’s video – but the timing seems unfortunate. The Netflix announcement states: “POLO is a new documentary series that follows elite global players and offers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the fast-moving world of sport. From Archewell Productions and Boardwalk Pictures, premiering this December only on Netflix.”

Moving video of Catherine, Princess of Wales

William and Kate’s video was shot in Norfolk and shows the couple in intimate moments with their three children and Kate’s parents. The princess stressed: “As summer draws to a close, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally finished my chemotherapy. The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life, as you know, can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and the unknown path.

Cancer free! 3 details that stood out in her video message

Cancer is “complex, scary and unpredictable” for everyone, especially those closest to you. This time has reminded her and William “above all to reflect on and be grateful for the simple but important things in life that so many of us often take for granted. Simply to love and be loved.”

Catherine also announced that she would be “taking on a few more public engagements” in the coming months. The road to healing and full recovery is long and she must continue to “take each day as it comes.”

Kate had to undergo abdominal surgery in January. She then received the diagnosis, which she announced to the public in a video message at the end of March. As a result, the princess largely withdrew from public life this year and made only a few appearances.
