Apple Watch Ultra 2: The Ultra looks black

Apple Watch Ultra 2: The Ultra looks black

Until now, many things about the Apple Watch Ultra were unique. It was the only Apple Watch to come with a titanium case and also the only one that was only available in one color. Both of these things are no longer true since the keynote.

Apple Watch Ultra 2 now also in black

While the Apple Watch Series 10 lost the unique selling point of the case material, the Ultra at least got another color. If you want, you can now get the watch for extreme athletes in black. The company has colored the corresponding straps to match and now offers a Milanese strap made of titanium – in black. Apple also announced a closer collaboration with Hermès, which is reflected in new straps.

Otherwise, nothing has changed about the Ultra. There is no completely new model, unless you count the new case color. If rumors are to be believed, the black version was actually a “feature” of the Ultra 3, but it seems to have been postponed.

Prices and availability

You can pre-order the Apple Watch Ultra 2 in black and “natural” now. Sales start on Friday, September 20th. The price is 899 euros for the CO2-neutral Alpine bracelet as well as the Trail Loop and the Ocean bracelet. The Milanese bracelet costs an additional 100 euros. You can also buy the Milanese bracelet separately if you already have a matching Apple Watch Ultra – then it costs 199 euros in both colors.
