17-year-old domestic help found dead in SP MP’s residence in Badohi, police suspect suicide

Bhadohi (Uttar Pradesh) [India]September 10 (ANI): A 17-year-old girl, who worked as a domestic servant at SP MP Zahid Beg’s residence, was found dead in a suspected suicide, police said.

According to police, the girl was found hanged in a room on the terrace of the owner’s house.

On Monday, Superintendent of Police Meenakshi Katyayan confirmed the incident and said, “A 17-year-old girl, who worked in the local MP’s house, committed suicide. Police and FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) teams arrived at the scene as soon as the information came in. The body has been taken into custody and post-mortem is underway.” “Investigations are being conducted from all possible angles to ascertain the cause of suicide. Why she hanged herself is the subject of investigation,” SP Katyayan added. More details are awaited. (ANI)
