Apple Store goes offline ahead of iPhone 16 series launch News24 –

Apple ‘It’s Glowtime’ Event: Hours before Apple’s biggest launch event, the tech giant’s online store went offline on Monday morning, hinting at the upcoming launch of new Apple products at the event. Apple’s ‘It’s Glowtime’ event is scheduled to take place today at 10 pm IST.

Apple is expected to launch the much-anticipated iPhone 16 series – iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Other major launches could include the Apple Watch Series 10 or Apple Watch X, new AirPods, an updated AirPods Pro, and a new iPad.

New A18 chip for iPhone 16 models

The iPhone 16 models are said to be based on the new A18 chip, which enables Apple Intelligence across the lineup. Apple Intelligence is one of the key features of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models. However, not all upcoming AI features are created equal. According to previous leaks, the iPhone 16 models will have a larger Action button and a Record button.

Meanwhile, more details have emerged about the iPhone’s new touch-sensitive capture button. According to the report, the capture button “can perform different actions depending on how you press or slide it.” Once you press the button, the built-in camera app or a user-selected alternative opens. The camera focuses with a light press, and with a harder press, it starts recording photos or videos.

This report confirms the previous leaks and further claims that you will be able to adjust zoom or exposure by sliding your finger over the button. If this happens, such adjustments will be easier and faster.
