Beach tennis tournament: VR Bank Beach Tennis Tournament in Oedheim for the 20th time

The TC Oedheim is celebrating a special anniversary: ​​the VR Bank Beach Tennis Cup took place for the 20th time. In bright sunshine and temperatures over 30 degrees, the beach tennis community gathered at the TC Oedheim facility to experience a sporting highlight together.
From number 25 in the German rankings to enthusiastic amateur athletes, everyone was represented. The men’s competition was particularly exciting, with seven teams almost completely filled. The games were initially played in group mode, with two groups being formed in which everyone competed against each other. This resulted in numerous exciting, entertaining parties.
The teams Sadeghi/Koch (position 1 in the seeding list) and Gratzel/Höger made it to the final. The former got off to a dream start and mercilessly exploited their opponents’ defensive style of play. The first set went clearly to the favorites with 6:0. In the second set, Gratzel/Höger showed more courage and forced their opponents to make a few mistakes. They had to give up this set 6:4, so Sadeghi/Koch still secured the tournament victory.
