The WhatsApp messenger regularly receives new updates and features that are designed to improve, simplify and expand the user experience. In this context, new additions to WhatsApp’s sticker offering have recently been noticed. And soon the messenger will offer some of you a really useful tool to avoid unnecessary strain on your interpersonal relationships.

The fan blog WABetaInfo has now noticed a feature for draft messages in the WhatsApp beta 24.18.10.72 for iOS. This shows you in your chat overview if you have not yet sent a message you have typed.

Are forgotten messages history?

Maybe you’ve said the phrase, “Oh, I thought I’d already sent the message.” Or maybe you’ve even said it yourself. This isn’t a bad thing in principle – anything can happen to anyone. But it’s still annoying when an important response isn’t received because of it. If this happens frequently or if it affects a crucial message, it can cause unnecessary tension in interpersonal relationships.

Thanks to the new WhatsApp feature, your unsent message will now be displayed directly in your chat overview on the index card of the respective chat with a “draft” in typical WhatsApp green. This way, it will quickly be noticed visually and stand out from chats in which the messages have already been sent.

The feature is currently being rolled out

According to WABetaInfo, the feature for draft messages in the chat overview is currently being rolled out via updates. This means that in the near future you will be less likely to miss a message that has not yet been sent – assuming you are using the messenger with an iPhone.
