O’zapft is!: The anticipation for the Vienna Kaiser Wiesn is growing

“Life is a celebration” is the motto of the Vienna Kaiser Wiesn, which will take place again in the Prater from September 26 to October 13, 2024. During this time, Austria’s largest traditional and Oktoberfest will attract visitors every day from 11:30 a.m. with Wiesn fun, live musical acts and regional delicacies – and all with free admission.

On 18 Wiesn days, the Vienna Kaiser Wiesn welcomed its visitors to the extensive grounds consisting of three festival tents, five alpine pastures and the Wiesn Village. The colorful supporting program ensures that folk music fans, pop music lovers and culinary connoisseurs get their money’s worth.

Every day, pop and folk music greats such as Desperate Brasswives, the Lauser, and Mountain Crew create a real Oktoberfest atmosphere in the three festival tents – the Gösser tent, Wiesbauer tent, and Kaiser tent. And there is also plenty of space to sway along in the cozy shared alpine huts. Folk music lovers can have a blast at the pop afternoons on October 1st, October 8th, and October 10th: live performances by well-known artists such as Andi Borg, Francine Jordi, the Hans Ecker Trio, and the Edlseern will be waiting from 12:00 p.m. At the DJ Night powered by Prater Dome on October 8th, the finest electronic music will make the tent shake.

The Vienna Kaiser Wiesn for young and old

Generation Z will be partying hard on October 7th at the Studi Wiesn powered by KRONEHIT Radio with a ticket price of just 15 euros, while the senior citizens’ days on October 2nd and 9th will ensure the older generation has the full Wiesn fun. And if that’s not enough, there are the presentations of two photo calendars for the year 2025: On October 2nd, the “FeiawerKalender 2025” of the Vienna professional fire brigade will be presented and on October 9th it will be the turn of the young Austrian farmers.

Not only the ears, but also the palate are pampered at the Vienna Kaiser Wiesn. The JÖ Wiesn village attracts visitors with its many stalls and presentations of regional crafts and local delicacies. The cuisine of the Vienna Kaiser Wiesn combines regionality and variety: from the down-to-earth Brettljause to the classic gingerbread hearts and cream mushrooms. There is something for every taste – even for vegetarians and vegans.
