Düsseldorfer EG and Rhein Fire celebrate success

Fire had fallen behind 13:23 shortly before the end. In two weeks the team now has the chance to defend its title when Fire faces Vienna. The game will be played in Gelsenkirchen and over 35,000 tickets have already been sold for the final.

DEG wins preparatory tournament in Dresden

The DEG also had reason to celebrate at the weekend. They won a preparation tournament in Dresden. They beat league rivals Nuremberg and the Czech first division team Litvinov. Goalkeeper Henrik Haukeland was injured in the process. Nothing is yet known about the severity of the injury.
