Bre Tiesi finds out Chelsea Lazkani’s husband is cheating on her

Whether she wanted it or not, Tiesi was involved in Lazkani’s shocking divorce from her husband Jeff after nearly seven years of marriage.

In episode 3, Tiesi learns from her friend Amanda that Lazkani’s husband was seen “making out” with another woman. Despite her long-standing feud with Lazkani, Tiesi decides to tell her fellow agent what she heard when the two sit down for a drink.

“A friend I’ve known for a few years, Amanda, asked if we wanted to go to lunch,” she explains to Lazkani in Episode 5. “She told me that her boyfriend, who she’s still very close with and who she sees, is staying at the W Hotel in Hollywood and that he saw your husband with a girl…”

She notices that her friend Amanda had text message “receipts” stating that Lazkani’s husband was seen “making out” with the woman at the hotel. While Tiesi claims she had only good intentions when she gave Lazkani this information, things get complicated when her colleagues Stause and Hernan chime in, asking why she would bring up such a sensitive subject on camera.

“Can you clarify whether the scene with Amanda was staged by you?” Stause asks Tiesi on the phone as she sits down with Lazkani and Hernan in Episode 7. Incredulous about her accusations, Tiesi ends the conversation by saying, “Now I’m starting to get really fucking mad.”

The situation ends awkwardly when Tiesi skips lunch with Hernan and Stause and later unfollows Hernan on Instagram.

Alanna Gold.

There’s a new agent in town

In the first episode, viewers meet Alanna Gold, who explains that she grew up in a rural Canadian town, is 32 years old, and has been in the real estate business for three years. She also reveals a very special detail about her personal real estate portfolio: she owns a working western town in the desert called Pioneertown, which was once used as a movie set.

Gold later invites the agents to stay in the Californian city and find out what’s going on, but only Bonnet, Smith and Young make the trip.

Although she learns in episode 2 that she lost a major Manhattan Beach contract to Bonnet and Lazkani, Gold proves she can handle any challenge in the highly competitive real estate industry—especially when Brett entrusts her with a Hollywood Hills property that’s currently under construction and presents her with numerous challenges.

Nicole Young, Chelsea Lazkani and Emma Hernan.

Nicole Young claims Emma Hernan was dating a married man

In episode 5, Young says that while visiting Pioneertown with Gold, Smith, and Bonnet, she heard something about Hernan that was “morally disturbing” and could “really damage marriages.” Although she doesn’t say exactly what she heard, Young later speaks with Gold, who advises her to ask Hernan directly if the rumor is true.

In episode 10, Young tells Gold that she “respectfully” didn’t follow her advice and reveals what’s behind the rumor.

“I have heard from a reliable source that Emma has probably had relationships with a married man. And if Chelsea is going through what I believe she is, then it’s pretty crazy that Emma is acting so self-righteous,” Young says in a confessional-style clip. “I don’t think she would go out of her way to protect a rumor she heard about me if the roles were reversed.”

In the final episode, she tells her information to Tiesi, who responds with a mischievous smile, “Not a husband thief…” She adds, “At this point, I’m not loyal at all. I feel like being a good person, or at least trying to be, has only paid off against me. So at this point, the gloves are off.”

Before the season premiered and viewers knew about the rumor, Stause and Lazkani defended Hernan on social media, arguing that the “harmful lie” Young spread in Season 8 was not true.

Chelsea Lazkani and Mary Bonnet at Amanza’s 47th birthday party.

Mary Bonnet and Chelsea Lazkani in direct duel

A brand new feud could shock viewers in Episode 1 when Bonnet reveals she got into a fight with Lazkani because he called her “the biggest troublemaker in the office” during a social media Q&A. Bonnet says she was “blindsided” when Lazkani then texted her, saying, “Keep my f***ing name out of your mouth.”

Later, in Episode 3, tensions escalate when Bonnet approaches Lazkani to talk about what happened and see if they can move on during Smith’s 47th birthday party. The conversation stalls and the agents start yelling at each other until Bonnet’s husband Romain intervenes, making Lazkani even angrier.

Despite the intense exchange, the two manage to overcome their differences in an emotional scene in Episode 4, when Bonnet sheds tears after Lazkani’s apology. Lazkani notes that she “feels closer” to Bonnet after they both talk about the “traumas” they experienced growing up.

Bre Tiesi and her ex-husband Johnny Manziel.

Netflix

Bre Tiesi’s ex-husband Johnny Manziel admits he cheated on her

In episode 6, Tiesi reveals that she is helping her ex-husband, former NFL player Johnny Manziel, find a new house. The two tour a $4 million property together and end up opening up about why their marriage ended in 2019.

“Life happens the way it’s supposed to happen,” Manziel tells Tiesi during the episode. “You’re in a position now where you’ve gotten exactly what you wanted in life. And I’m proud of you and happy for you.”

He continues, “I learned a lot about what I was doing wrong. I was a lost, depressed kid running around the Hollywood Hills, getting drunk every night and living in a nightclub. And probably spending a lot of time behind your back.”

Tiesi interrupts her: “Oh, you spent a lot of time lying on your back with someone else, but yes, it’s okay,” alluding to the infidelity during their marriage.

Manziel replies with a laugh: “Yes, Bre, yes. I know.” He adds: “And I still feel guilty to this day about how I treated you. The divorce after we separated was one of the hardest moments in my life, and I cried and begged and pleaded.”

Mary Bonnet and Jason Oppenheim at the funeral of their dog Niko.

Netflix

Mary Bonnet and Jason Oppenheim’s dog dies at the age of 18

Bonnet and Jason share an emotional moment together in episode 8 when the founder of the Oppenheim Group reveals that their 18-year-old dog, Niko, is suffering from kidney failure and has only days to live. The two, who were formerly together, have had joint custody of Niko since their split.

Later in the episode, Jason’s twin brother Brett tells all the agents that Niko has died and breaks down in tears. Jason then hosts a potluck at his house and reveals that he and Mary used Niko’s ashes to tattoo their arms in honor of their beloved dog.

They throw a lavish funeral, which all the agents and their close friends attend in the next episode. After the emotional memorial service, Tiesi, Lazkani, Stause and Hernan begin to argue about the same question: whether Tiesi planned to address Lazkani’s husband’s infidelity on camera all along.

Bonnet later said she was “appalled by the behavior” of her colleagues, as it was disrespectful of them to fight at Niko’s funeral.
