Police in Noida find two missing schoolchildren

Noida (Uttar Pradesh), September 8 (ANI): Noida Police on Sunday confirmed that two 13-year-old children who went missing this week have been found.

Two eighth-grade children in Noida went missing on September 5.

Noida Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) Manish Mishra said the schoolchildren had disappeared through the back gate of the school out of desperation.

Speaking to ANI, Mishra said, “The schoolchildren had gone missing and left the building through the back gate. On investigation, it was found that the children were disturbed for some reason.” The ADCP further stated that the police had searched 500 cameras and deployed teams without uniforms as part of their investigation.

“We deployed police without uniforms so as not to frighten the children. We also checked 500 cameras to ascertain the whereabouts of the children. The children were found after three days with the help of parents, the media and the police,” he added.

In a similar incident in Telangana, Kalapathar police traced three missing girls and reunited them safely with their parents within nine hours.

According to police, the girls tried to escape from their homes after being reprimanded by their parents.

Investigations revealed that the complainant’s daughter, who had studied school till Class 7, had been reprimanded by her father two days before the incident and had been threatened with being placed in a hostel. (ANI)
