WR Keenan Allen (heel) is expected to be active and make his Bears debut on Sunday against the Titans

He was just one of a handful of franchise-changing additions the Bears made this offseason after spending 11 years with the Chargers, compiling 904 receptions, 10,530 receiving yards and 59 touchdown catches.

His fifth 100-catch season, which added to his sixth 1,000-yard season, came last season before he was traded. He showed then that he still has it, and the Bears are confident he still has it now, as part of what promises to be a three-headed receiving monster for No. 1 pick Caleb Williams.

Given his skill set, Allen has all the makings of being the rookie quarterback’s best friend and safety. DJ Moore and another rookie, Rome Odunze, will also play important roles in the rebuilt WR department, along with the new franchise QB under center and a new lead running back, D’Andre Swift, taking handoffs.

With Allen ready to play, the Bears are in great shape offensively for Week 1.

They’ll have their first chance to show what that means when they face the Titans at 1 p.m. ET.
