Pietreczko broke his local opponent’s leg in 14 darts right at the start of the match and confirmed it in 15 darts. Once he got going, the former Nuremberg player, now a new Hanoverian, continued. An 11-darter broke the score to 3-0, which quickly became 4-0 when he threw the ball himself.

Only then did Noppert make a move. By clearing 130 points, he was able to reduce the score to 4-1 with a leg in 12 darts, before Pikachu cleared 82 points to make it 5-1 and ended the match with a 15-dart break.

For Gabriel Clemens, his match against Dave Chisnall was less positive. After the German Giant was able to eliminate Michael van Gerwen from the tournament the day before, the Saarland native lost 2-6.

Chisnall took control of the match. With a break in 16 darts and a 12-darter, which the Englishman finished off with a 121 high finish, Clemens’ opponent was already 2-1 ahead before “Gaga” was able to reduce the deficit to 2-1 with his own throw.

In the fourth leg, Clemens attacked Chizzy’s leg with a 180 in the first inning and then broke with a 14-darter to make it 2-2. However, the German Giant was unable to confirm this break. Chisnall won the leg back in 14 darts and took a clear lead of 5-2 by confirming the break and then making a 12-dart break.

Now it was Chisnall’s turn to win the match. Clemens had the chance to rebreak, but sank his last dart on double 5 instead of double 20 for 120. His English opponent took advantage of this mistake and made it into the quarter-finals with a 17-darter.

Peter Wright also secured a place in the quarter-finals of the Flanders Darts Trophy. Snakebite started his match against Stephen Bunting strongly. A 144 finish, a 14-darter and a 12-darter gave the Scots a 3-0 lead. In the end, the match was won 6-5.
