The Paralympics will be held in Paris between August 28 and September 8, 2024. 4,400 athletes from more than 180 nations will travel to the games to compete in a total of 22 Paralympic sports. These include disciplines such as blind football, para boccia and wheelchair basketball.

The major sporting event will be accompanied by extensive media coverage, both on linear TV and online live streams. Do you want to know where and when you can watch the Paralympics live? The broadcast of the Paralympics in Paris is primarily in the hands of the two public broadcasters ARD and ZDFThe opening ceremony at Place de la Concorde on 28 August 2024 was entirely staged in ZDF On the following days, the two channels will take turns broadcasting from the shared studio at Place de l’Alma. This gives viewers the opportunity to watch all of the Paralympic Games’ competition days live and free of charge on free TV.

On most days, the broadcast begins at around 11 a.m. and runs for around four hours. Then there is a break until the Paralympics are broadcast for around one to two hours in the evening. Only on Sunday, September 1, 2024, will the broadcast be slightly different: On this day, the coverage begins in the ZDF at 08:05 and runs in three blocks until 15:40. ARD and ZDF Broadcast the Paralympic Games both on TV and in the respective broadcaster’s own live stream. Here you will not only find the broadcast of the linear TV program on the internet, but also up to four additional live streams for individual sports. The live streams are available on the homepage of the ARD Sportschau and the ZDF-Sports studios are available. In addition, the International Paralympic Committee also offers an online live stream in which highlights are broadcast. The Paralympic Games YouTube channel also offers live streams and video material from behind the scenes.

In total, the two broadcasters want to show around 75 hours of Paralympics in live stream.
