Kramer on his future: “I see myself in many places”

Former national player Christoph Kramer has “unfortunately” not received an offer from Los Angeles. The long-time Gladbach midfielder said this in his role as a ZDF expert on the sidelines of the German team’s international match against Hungary (5:0). “LA, that’s where I see myself, not just in football, but in life in general,” joked Kramer. He also sees himself in Miami, but not in Saudi Arabia.

Most recently, Kramer, who had terminated his contract in Gladbach, had raved about a move to the American MLS, but also considered this to be unrealistic. “Generally, I see myself in many places in the world and also at many football clubs.” But it is also a matter of feeling. “How much do they want you,” said Kramer.

After leaving Borussia, he didn’t fall into a hole. “I haven’t really recognized it yet.” “It feels like I’ve torn a muscle fiber and after the international break I’ll be back,” said Kramer, adding with a view to his future: “I don’t think you should act out of fear in your life and say: Wow, me.” I’ve been doing it for 33 years now, and it has to continue. I want to feel it. If I feel it, I do it. If I don’t feel anything, I don’t do it.”
