The Gun-Dog is now available with more colors • JPGAMES.DE

The sci-fi visual novel Tales of Sol: The Hound by developer Space Colony Studios and publisher Astrolabe Games is scheduled to be released on February 20, 2025 with German texts for PlayStation, Switch and PCs via Steam. This was announced by those responsible.

A demo of the title is also available for download in the stores of the respective platforms. This demo was recently updated. The so-called “full-color mode” now allows you to play the game in color. In the original version, the title was only playable in a two-color retro look.

For collectors and lovers of physical versions, Stories from Sol: The Gun-Dog will also be released as a physical retail version. This will be distributed in Europe by Meridiem Games and is scheduled to be released for PS5 and Switch.

Visual novel meets science fiction

“Four years have passed since the end of the Solar War, and an uneasy peace reigns throughout the solar system.” “The Jovian patrol ship Gun-Dog is sent on a reconnaissance mission to investigate mysterious signals coming from the edge of Jovian space,” the Steam page introduces the story.

Using traditional point-and-click adventure mechanics, you explore various locations on the ship, examine the richly designed backgrounds, and talk to crew members. What starts as a routine task quickly becomes a fight for survival as an unknown threat terrorizes the crew.
