Participation in the open beta phase

Xbox players can download the beta for free directly from the Xbox Store. Battle.net users must install the Call of Duty HQ app and select and download the beta there.

For Steam players, the process is apparently a bit more complicated. According to YouTuber SuchSirAxolotl Studios, you can find the installation option in the game settings of Call of Duty HQ under the “DLC” section. Changes to weapons

In addition, Treyarch announced in a post on X (Twitter) that there are changes to the “weapon balancing”, i.e. the strength of the respective weapons. Among other things, this affects the Jackal PDW, which has apparently been the most popular weapon during the beta phase so far.

Treyarch has revealed specific details about the changes in a new blog post. Among other things, it shows that the weapon’s maximum damage has been reduced from 29 to 26.

A possible replacement for the Jackal PDW could be the brand new Tanto .22, which a leaker previously found in the game’s files. However, you only unlock this submachine gun at level 30.
