4-0 home win – SV Gmundner Milch catches UFC Rohrbach-Berg cold – Football Upper Austria – Results, tables and scorers from all OÖ leagues.

Duel between the two promoted teams in the LT1 OÖ League! SV Gmundner Milch, reigning champions of the Landesliga West, welcomed the title holders of the Landesliga East UFC Hama Trucks Rohrbach-Berg on their own pitch. In the end, it was what few had expected: a clear-cut affair. Waldl’s eleven beat Rohrbach 4-0, celebrated their second home win without conceding a goal in a row and moved deeper into the middle of the league. For the Mühlviertlers, it was the third painful defeat in the last four games.

Home team sets course for victory

Gmunden’s match plan today was as simple as it was effective: with an offensive basic formation, including three nominal attackers, they immediately pressed their opponents high and thus emphasized them to the maximum. With this aggressive approach, Rohrbach was forced to make serious mistakes in the build-up to the game – ball losses that were doubly bitter because they were in the immediate vicinity of their own goal and in a disorganized formation. The hosts’ first two goals resulted precisely from the circumstances described. They won the ball deep in the opponent’s half, switched immediately and made it 2-0 relatively early with two dry finishes from Ermin Durgutovic (6th and 8th minute). After that, SV Gmundner Milch slowed down a bit, but without losing control of the match. There was a lot of uncertainty in the ranks of a young Rohrbach team due to notable absences during this phase. Through Erol Zümrüt and Durgutovic, the home team had further top chances before the half-time whistle.

Gmundner increases results

After the break, UFC Rohrbach-Berg chose a more offensive approach in order to get back into the game. Today it was halfway but nothing. Instead of a blow to the neck, it came in the 49th minute: after a ball into the interface, the recipient of the pass, Durgutovic, shot in to make it 3-0. This basically decided the game. What was also noticeable today: the guests had an extremely difficult time in attack, and basically did not create a single notable chance over the entire distance. Gmunden were too sloppy in that phase in the front third to score any more goals. The necessary determination was sorely lacking in the last pass or in the finish – but given the clear half-time score, this was a circumstance that could be forgiven. In the 92nd minute, however, they did manage to score: after breaking through on the wing, they brought the ball precisely to the middle, where Bernd Schörghuber scored from close range to make it 4-0.

Voices about the game:

Markus Waldl (coach SV Gmundner Milch):

“It was a well-deserved victory – even by this margin. Rohrbach is unlucky at the moment. They have a lot of absentees. The league is just very strong. We haven’t arrived as well as we thought we would. Now we are in a single-digit position in the table. That’s a nice snapshot of the team, which is working well.”

Christian Eisschiel (coach UFC Rohrbach-Berg):

“It was a game to forget. We never came back. Everything went against us. Only two or three players were in good form. We made too many individual mistakes.”

The best: Ermin Durgutovic (ST, SV Gmundner Milch), Bernd Schörghuber (LMF, SV Gmundner Milch), Valentin Harringer (IV, SV Gmundner Milch)
